Instrument: Same Sun - Solar Test Platform

The table-top instrument, Same Sun – Solar Test Platform, allows you to measure the IV characteristics and the spectral response of laboratory-sized solar cells.

 
The integrated, self-calibrating light source is tunable with respect to intensity and spectrum.

Same Sun is targeted at organic solar cells built on standard microscope slides or similar. The measurements performed are however general and applicable to any solar cell, provided that it can be fitted into the Same Sun specimen holder.

Same Sun is designed for fast, user-friendly installation and operation. The instrument is operated via your personal computer and your sourcemeter (preferably Keithley 2400). After plugging Same Sun into the wall socket and installing the Same Sun software on your computer, you are ready to move.

Same Sun will be available on the market in 2011.
