Climate Change Adaptation in Africa

Climate Change Adaptation in Africa (CCAA) is an international programme to improve local capacity to adapt to climate change.

The UNEP Risoe Centre participated in the Project "Managing climate risk for agriculture and water resources development in South Africa". The Project had two objectives:

To develop the capacity of South African and regional institutions in the private and public sectors to better integrate information about climate change and climate variability into water resources policy, planning and management; and,

To demonstrate how this information can be used to evaluate alternative strategies and projects for adjusting or adapting to climate change and climate variability in other regions.
