Biogas

BIO-REF aims at developing new process concepts within local and international frameworks of anaerobic digestion. This includes (1) introduction of new bioresources such as energy crops and macro algae, (2) optimization of co-digestion and (3) treatment of waste from technologies producing other forms of bioenergy and value-added products (biorefineries). BIO-PRO also aims at (4) developing new reactor-concepts for optimized treatment of manure and sludge and finally (5) integrated biogas production with closed nutrient-recycling on organic farms is an important task.
