| Brandbjerg - The Ecological Time Machine |
|
The “Research Centre on Biological Effects of Climate Change” – CLIMAITE – is a multidisciplinary national Danish research initiative bringing together 6 research groups to study the biological effects of such climatic changes in terrestrial ecosystems.

| Dyskjærgård (Farm) |
|
The agricultural area of Risø DTU (about 200 ha) is managed by the farm Dyskærgård for conventional crop production, cattle grazing and experimental fields, e.g. willow for energy.

| Impacts of global climate change |
|
The earth climate is under change. This has been predicted to be a consequence of increased anthropogenic emissions of CO2, because historical records show that elevated atmospheric CO2 and warmer global temperature have occurred simultaneously. RISØ is involved in several projects investigating the effects of climate change on ecosystem functioning.

| Risø Environmental Risk Assessment Facility - RERAF |
| RERAF is a unique plant growth facility belonging to a new generation of phytotrons. It comprises a row of physically and electronically separated environmental chambers with separate top and root compartments. Environmental risk assessment experiments can be carried out under fully controlled conditions. |

| The RIMI project |
|
Risø's Integrated Environmental Project (RIMI) is an interdisciplinary research project aimed at the study of pathways, processes and effects of anthropogenically derived nitrogen compounds in the terrestrial environment. Deposition of nitrogen compounds emitted to the atmosphere plays an important role in both acidification of ecosystems, and there is a substantial need for more precise information on both qualitative and quantitative aspects of the problem.

| The Sorø Field-station (Lille Bøgeskov) |
| The field station at Sorø aims to quantify atmosphere-biosphere exchange of CO2 and other greenhouse gasses in a 80yr old beech forest. |
