Composites and Materials Mechanics

Processing
The processing activities covers the development and optimisation of new fibre composites, primary with continuous fibres, and associates process technologies, aiming at improved occupational heath and application properties, as well as characterisation of the produced materials. Both ther-mosetting matrices and new type of thermoplastic matrices are covered in combination with most types of fibres such as glass, carbon, aramid, PE and natural fibres. Special emphasises is concen-trated on development and studying of five different processing technologies: Vacuum consolidation, autoclave consolidation, press consolidation, filament winding and resin infusion.
