On 1 January 2007, Risø National Laboratory will merge with the Technical University of Denmark, the Danish Institute for Food and Veterinary Research, the Danish Institute for Fisheries Research, the Danish National Space Centre and the Danish Transport Research Institute. The provisional name of the new organisation is the New Technical University of Denmark.
The New Technical University of Denmark will be a broadly founded, business-oriented, technical elite university where research goes hand in hand with education, innovation and advisory functions for government authorities. The New Technical University of Denmark will have some 7,000 students and almost 4,000 employees. A leading international university is thus created that will attract and develop competent scientists for the benefi t of students, the business sector and society. |
